Joel Ewanick

Founder and CEO of FirstElement Fuel

Joel Ewanick is the Founder and CEO of FirstElement Fuel, a California-based company that is developing and operating the True Zero brand of hydrogen charging stations. His company currently owns and operates the largest retail hydrogen charging network in the world, including 16 True Zero hydrogen stations throughout California and three additional stations  currently under development with grant funding from the California Energy Commission, the Bay Area AQMD, and the South Coast AQMD. Mr. Ewanick was also successful in securing financing from Toyota and Honda for FirstElement’s efforts in developing hydrogen charging stations. Previously, he served as General Motors’ Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Marketing at Hyundai Motors America.
