Student

Julian Pelzner is a second-year student at the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in Environmental Economics and Policy. In high school, he was a student representative to the Alameda Unified School District Board of Education, where he became involved with the school district’s process of approving solar energy projects. After his time with AUSD, he began interning at local nonprofit company KyotoUSA, where he learned further how to assist school districts in assessing and developing renewable energy projects. In addition to ongoing solar-school advocacy, Julian has become involved in the efforts to support the development of East Bay Community Energy, a rising Community Choice Energy program. Julian is working with KyotoUSA and the Associated Students of the University of California organizations to educate the Cal community about the benefits of Community Choice.
