Doug Johnson is the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s (MTC) Principal Planner for Land Use and Transportation Integration and the Project Manager for their Future Mobility Research Program. He oversees the agency’s planning, policy, and grant programs that support the development of multimodal, equitable, transit supportive communities. He served as project manager for Plan Bay Area, the region’s 25-year transportation and land-use plan. He received a Masters of Science in Transportation Engineering and a Masters in City and Regional Planning from UC Berkeley and is a member of the German Marshall Fund’s TransAtlantic Cities Network.
