Cisco DeVries is Founder and CEO of Renew Financial, one of the nation’s leading providers of the Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) model of financing energy and water efficiency and renewable upgrades to homes and businesses. Invented by Mr. DeVries, PACE is a central component of a major White House clean energy and energy efficiency initiative unveiled in 2015, and it was also named one of the top 20 “world-changing” ideas by Scientific American magazine.
Renew Financial, which Mr. DeVries founded in 2008, provides financing through PACE and its energy loan products from California to New York. Prior to founding Renew Financial, Mr. DeVries served in the administration of President Bill Clinton as an aide to the U.S. Secretary of Energy and the U.S. Secretary of Transportation from 1996-1998. He also served as Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Berkeley, where he envisioned and led the initial development of BerkeleyFIRST, the original model for PACE.
