Wade Crowfoot

CEO of the Water Foundation

Wade Crowfoot has been named as the CEO of the Water Foundation. He previously served as the Deputy Cabinet Secretary and Senior Advisor to Governor Jerry Brown. His priorities include transportation, infrastructure, and military and veterans issues. Recently, he has led an effort to expand zero-emission vehicles in California and build international partnerships with other countries to fight climate change. As the Governor’s Military Advisor, Wade works to strengthen California’s support for federal military bases located throughout the state.

Prior to joining Governor Brown’s Administration, Mr. Crowfoot served as Regional Director for the Environmental Defense Fund and worked with leaders throughout California to implement key climate, water and oceans policy. Mr. Crowfoot has also served as Senior Environmental Advisor to then-San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom to develop energy, transportation and waste policies and manage the Mayor’s state and federal environmental agendas. He has also held policy positions for other elected officials and previously worked in the fields of public opinion research and urban economic development.
